Accommodation Summary

The centrally heated cottage comprises of a main sitting room, second sitting room, spacious dining kitchen, pantry/utility room, three bedrooms, a full bathroom and a downstairs W.C.

BT Broadband Wireless Internet (WIFI) available in all rooms.

Main Sitting Room

This cosy room is attractively furnished. There is comfortable seating around the imposing stone fireplace which is fitted with a living flame gas stove. There is a television and D.V.D. player; a wide choice of  D.V.D.s are available for loan from the owners.

Second Sitting Room

This room offers a further sofa and the option of listening to music, reading, playing board games or consulting the local interest books and information leaflets etc. which are available in here.

Also very comfortably and cosily furnished, this room has a log-burning stove, a C.D. player and radio and a selection of books, games and jigsaws.

Family Dining-Kitchen

The light and airy dining kitchen with its partially glazed roof leads out onto the cottage garden.

The kitchen is a very pleasant room and an excellent focal point for family meals around the large farmhouse table which seats up to 8 people. The room is very well equipped with fridge, gas cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and coffee machine.

A door leads into the pantry/laundry room which houses a fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.

Master bedroom

This is a spacious, light and airy double room with velux window and exposed roof beams. The room has a double bed and is attractively furnished and decorated. There is a built-in wash hand basin/vanity unit.

All beds throughout the cottage are comfortable and new with good quality linen. Bedrooms have ample wardrobe space, bedside tables and lamps. All bed linen is included in the rent.

Twin Bedroom

Also attractively furnished with co-ordinating curtains, bedding etc.. There is a second T.V. and a video player in here.

Single Bedroom

This small room has a pleasant outlook onto the garden. Ideal for a child, there are a few toys and books in here; a pine cot and bedrail are available.

Bathroom

The bathroom, also overlooking the garden, has a traditional white suite comprising bath, W.C., wash hand basin and over-bath electric shower. There is a heated brass towel rail and large airing cupboard

Garden

Backing onto the croft, from which the cottage takes its name, the large and private cottage garden is accessed by stone steps (this may not be suitable for those with mobility problems).

The large lawned area with its, well-stocked borders and stone flagged patio is gated off from the steps. The sunny, south-facing patio has barbeque and garden furniture in the summer months.

Baby Equipment

A cot, bed-rail, steam steriliser, highchair, portable stair gate and toys are available on request. Please note that cot linen is not available and that there are no permanent stair gates on the stairs.

Welcome Pack

We provide basics such as milk and bread for your arrival as part of our ‘welcome food pack’, the contents of which vary. Please let us know in advance if your have any special requests.

Towels

Towels are included in the rental for weekly bookings and for short breaks can be rented at a charge of £3 per person (one bath, one hand towel). Please let us know at time of booking whether or not you need to hire them.

Telephone

Telephone incoming and outgoing available in the cottage for guests, honesty box based payment.

Croft View Cottage is a no-smoking property and we regret that we do not take pets in the interests of future visitors who may suffer from pet hair allergies.

We request that visitors treat our cottage with respect, keep it clean and inform us of any breakages or spillages. An additional charge may be made if excessive cleaning is needed at the end of your stay. Please look after it for future visitors.
